- Description
- The Southwest Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (SOUTHWESTNAVFACENGCOM), Contracts Department, San Diego, California, is hereby soliciting information for potential sources to provide Environmental Services for the Public Works Center, San Diego, California. This sources notice is in relation to an A76 Commercial Activities Study for Environmental Services at the Public Works Center. Approximately 103 Full Time Equivalent positions are affected. The services to be performed are: Laboratory Services, Bulk Solid Waste Services, Containerized Solid Waste Services, Recurring Project Services, and Special Project Services. The period of performance is anticipated to be seven years, including one base year, four (4) one (1) year option periods, and two (2) award option years. A performance-based combination firm fixed price (FFP), indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract is anticipated. The DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS) and related documents are on the NAVFAC electronic solicitation (ESOL) website for review under the reference/solicitation number above. If you are a first time user to the NAVFAC ESOL website, you will have to register so you will be able to received any updated information. Interested parties are advised that an Industry Forum is scheduled to be held on 20 May 2003 from 1:00 PM ? 4:00 PM. The intent of the Industry Forum is to provide an overview of the 1) San Diego Public Works Center Mission, 2) the Facilities Support Contract template to be used for the performance work statement format, and 3) the A76 Competitive Sourcing and Contract methodology. There will be a question and answer session after the presentation. Those parties interested in attending the Industry Forum must email a request to Diana Price at pricedl@efdsw.navfac.navy.mil, no later than 4:00 PM on 12 May 2003. The request must include the company name, address, phone number, fax number, email address, business status, the number of attendees, and the title of each attendee. Once the requested information is received, directions to the forum will be provided. Industry representatives are encouraged to provide comments regarding how the Government can best package the work for the solicitation to achieve maximum savings and value. If after the Industry Forum your intent is to pursue this requirement, you must provide a Letter of Interest to this office by 2 June 2003: The information should include: 1) Name and address of the firm 2) Size of business (including annual revenue for NAICS code 541330 and annual revenue for entire business) and total number of employees 3) Ownership 4) Year firm was established 5) Names of two principals to contact, including title and telephone number 6) Description of previous experience that relates to this requirement. Please include pertinent information for on-going contracts or contracts complete within the last five years under NAICS Code 541330. Pertinent information is: A. Name of Contracting Activity B. Contract Number C. Type of contract (i.e. FFP, IDIQ, or combination) D. Period of Performance and Total Contract Value E. If subcontractor, portion of Contract Value for which firm self performed and name of prime contractor including address and telephone number of primary point of contact. F. Summary of contract work G. Contracting Officer name and current telephone number. H. Contracting Officer?s Technical Representative (name and current telephone number) I.
