- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Solicitation F61040-03-Q-0005 is issued as a Request For Quote. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13. The North American Industry Classification System code assigned to this acquisition is 335312. Please identify whether you are a large or small business based on this SIC code. The following FAR clauses apply to this synopsis/solicitation: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial: 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items (Evaluation will be based solely on lowest price); 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (Offerors must submit a completed copy of the Representations and Certification with their offer); 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions required to implement Statutes or Executive Orders- Commercial Items (Apr 2001)(Deviation). Quotations must be submitted no later than 4:00 pm (local time) on 23 May 2003. This requirement is not restricted to Mainland Portugal and its territories. Provide requested item necessary to Maintain Control Tower at 60 Hertz at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. 0001 Frequency Converter, Rotary, Common Shaft Motor Generator; 50 to 60 Hz Continuous output rating: 300KVA, 240 Kw Input: 380VAC, 50 Hz, 3 Phase Output: 120/208 VAC, Adjustable + / - 10%, 60Hz, 3 phase Synchronous Motor, 400HP 80 degree C allowed system temperature rise Motor starter, Reduced voltage, mounted on unit and wired Generator Output Metering package mounted on unit and wired on generator Output circuit breaker mounted and wired on generator, variable trip Converter shall be manufactured and shipped within 120 days of acceptance of award Shipping to be included in price The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000 dollars. Proposals will be solicited on a firm-fixed price lump sum basis. The request for Quote (RFQ) package will be available for downloading and viewing at Electronic Posting System (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov. The RFQ package will be available on the Internet only. There will be no hard copies of this solicitation issued. The Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government?s best interest. All proposals and other normal documents required for the proposal submittal, including amendments to the proposal submittal, shall be in paper medium.
