- Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with DR. John Bickman for the office of Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC), National Marine Mammal Laboratory (NMML) in Seattle, WA. Purpose of proposed contract is for services to provide analysis of data obtained from Sea Lion tissue regarding assessment of available genetic primers to distinguish DNA. Period of performance is one year, with two option years. Contractor has been instrumental in the development of these techniques and interpretation of results. DR. John Bickman is the only geneticist in the world that has analyzed and published Steller Sea Lion genetics. He has the unique expertise to interpret Steller Sea Lion genetics data and the ability to integrate these data with past studies on this species and other marine mammal. This notice may represent the only official notice. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $50,000.00.
