- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Solicitation Number is FSIS-23-B03 and is issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ). This is intended to be awarded on a sole source basis to Microsoft Corporation, Charlotte, NC. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-13. The NAICS Code is 443120 and size standard is $7.5. Line Items as follows: 1) Microsoft Premier Support Services to include Account Management/Proactive Services (Up to 100 hours), Information Services, and Technical Support (10 Support Incidents); 2) Option ? Additional Hours and Support Incidents if needed (Not To Exceed $15,000.00). USDA, Food and Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) is continually modernizing its network and desktop operating systems and applications, which requires technical expertise in order to expeditiously achieve integration of software components in a WindowsXP/Windows 2000 server environment. Because of the critical nature of FSIS operations, FSIS cannot afford technical outages exceeding a day and requires immediate response times for both client and network problems. The period of performance is from Date of Award for twelve (12) months and to include four (4) Year Options. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-3 and Alt 1, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. The additional FAR Clauses cited in 52.212-5 are applicable to this acquisition: 52.203-6, Restrictions on Subcontractor Sales to the Government, with Alt 1; 52.219-8, Utilization of Small Business Concerns; 52.222-21, Prohibition of Segregated Facilities; 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity with Alt 1; 52.222-35, 52.222-36, Equal Opportunity for Special Disabled Veterans, Veterans of the Vietnam Era, and other Eligible Veterans; 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Special Disabled Veterans, Veterans of the Vietnam Era, and other Eligible Veterans; 52.225-13, Restriction on Certain Foreign Purchases; and 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration . The offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3 with its offer. Written quotations shall be submitted within 5 working days from the published date of this announcement.
