- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, South Atlantic Area intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Perkin Elmer, to provide one used/demo model N6470330 Turbomass Gold Mass spectrophotometer as an add on to an existing Perkin Elmer Autosystem XL Gas Chromatograph. This instrument must be configured to match the existing PE Autosystem XL GC and be mechanically and electrically compatible with the existing GC. Delivery is required within 2 weeks, FOB Destination to Raleigh, NC. Interested parties should submit written responses including prices and technical data identifying where the offered item meets or does not meet the Government?s functional and performance minimum specifications listed herein to this office by 12:00 noon, May 8, 2003. It should be noted that no contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but will be used to determine if a comparable source more advantageous to the Government is available. If no affirmative written responses are received, negotiations will be held with Perkin Elmer. without further notice. This acquisition is being conducted under the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The anticipated award date is May 8, 2003.
