- The United States Secret Service (USSS) Protective Research Acquisitions Branch intends to negotiate and award on a sole source basis with Motorola, Inc. 7230 Parkway Drive, Hanover MD 21076, Phone (410) 712-6423 for the following Motorola ancillary and systems equipment: Item 0001 Motorola VHF Digital Satellite Receiver (3 in One Cabinet), Item 0001AA qty 17 of Motorola model X375 ?ADD 3 Stations in one cabinet?, Item 0001AB qty 17 of Motorola model DQ4238030918 ?8CH Multicoupler receiver, VHF w/DC (N adapter), Item 0001AB qty 51 of Motorola model DQ4133VBR ?Crystal filters (NF-NM). Item 0002 Motorola Radio Network Controller (RNC3000) Software ? 64 Port Expansion, Item 0002AA qty 3 Motorola Model TDN1081 ?FRU 16 BASE STN controller. Item 0003 Motorola Vanguard 340 Single Console, Item 0003AA qty 10 Motorola Model DDN6948A ?Vanguard Node Implementation Class B, Item 0003AB qty 10 Motorola Model DDN6951A ?Voice module up-to-eight ports?. Item 0004 Motorola XTS 5000 Accessories/Additional options, Item 0004AA qty 14 Motorola Model PMN1034 ?HHCH full feature microphone?, Item 0004AB qty 5 Motorola model 1585506D03 ?Housing MIII?, Item 0004AC qty 1 Motorola model WPLN4124AR, ?BOS II Charger?, 0004AD qty 4 Motorola model RL75765, ?XTS Adapter for BOS II Charger?. The supplies and services to be provided are proprietary, and specifications, plans and drawings are not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. The supplies and services to be provided are commercial within the meaning of FAR Part 12. Motorola, Inc, is the only known source capable of providing the required supplies. This statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304(c)(1) Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements. Companies who can provide the above listed proprietary products must indicate their interest on or before May 8, 2003. Oral Communications are not acceptable. Facsimile number is (202) 406-6801. No quotation/proposal received in response to this notice shall be considered since this synopsis cannot be considered a Request for Quotation/Proposal. All responsible sources will be considered for evaluating the determination to issue a sole-source contract. No formal solicitation package is available. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in responding to this notice. See Note 22 is modified to read three days in lieu of forty-five.
