- Description
- The Atlantic Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Norfolk, Virginia intends to acquire all labor, supervision, tools, materials, supplies and transportation services necessary to perform contract inspection and specification writing services. Work includes, but is not limited to, specification writing, task order preparation, cost estimate preparation and contract inspection. This is a combination firm fixed price and indefinite quantity type contract for a base period of one year with four one year options to extend, total duration not to exceed sixty (60) months. The proposed solicitation is set aside for small businesses. Specifications will be available on or about 15 May 2003. It is anticipated that a pre-proposal conference will be held on or about 30 May 2003. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available. The estimated date for receipt of proposals is on or about 30 July 2003. This solicitation will be available in electronic format only. All documents will be in the Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) file format via the Internet. The free Acrobat Reader, required to view .pdf files can be downloaded from the Adobe website. The official access to the solicitation is via the Internet. The address is: <http://esol.navfac.navy.mil/> . Contractors are encouraged to register for the solicitation when downloading from the NAVFAC E-Sol Website. Only registered contractors will be notified by e-mail when amendments to the solicitation are issued. In accordance with the provisions of DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration (Mar 2000) offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors and contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the internet at http://www.ccr2000.com. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. THIS ACQUISITION IS SUBJECT TO GOVERNMENT IN-HOUSE COST COMPARISON TO DETERMINE THE ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY OF ACCOMPLISHING SERVICES IN-HOUSE OR BY CONTRACT IN ACCORDANCE WITH OMB A-76.
