Description

The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about May 15, 2003. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This project is to provide all labor, materials, supplies, equipment and incidentals to demo the existing built-up multi-ply roofing and its replacement with a new seamless sprayed in place silicone/polyurethane insulated roof system on the octagonal shaped Eastern Front Visitor Center. Work includes the replacement of insulation, drains, coping, flashing and the installation of walk mats in high traffic areas for preventative maintenance. Quotes will only be accpeted from those qualified contractors who attend a MANDATORY SITE VISIT SCHEDULED FOR MAY 22, 2003 AT 10:00 AM. Contractors shall meet at the Visitor Center located just off VA State Route 36 - midway between the cities of Hopewell and Petersburg, Virginia. SUB-CONTRACTING of the sprayed in place silicone/polyurethance roofing IS NOT ALLOWED. This Request for Quotations (RFQ) is issued pursuant to Public Law 100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is open to all concerns, regardless of size. The NAICS code is 235610. It is anticipated that the government will award a firm fixed price contract. Quotations will be due by 4:30 p.m. on June 16, 2003. The contruction estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000.
