- NA The proposed work consist of the construction of a new C-130J Maintenance Training Facility at Little Rock Air Force Base. The new one-story facility will consist of 3,130 square meters. The building consists of a wing containing the simulator bays and support areas. The other wing of the building includes the teaching/administration areas and other support areas. The project includes restrooms, computer rooms, briefing rooms, and break areas with casework. Site development on the project includes new parking, driveways, sidewalks, lighting, landscaping, and new perimeter service drive. The building will have mechanical, electrical, fire protection/detection, lightning protection, seismic protection, communication services, and other support infrastru ctures. In addition there is a bid option including parking lot, sidewalks, and lighting. Demolition of the overhead and underground utilities, concrete pads, asphalt areas, trees, sidewalks, etc., is required to prepare the site for the new facility. D emolition of existing buildings is not required. The estimated project duration is approximately 388 calendar days. It is anticipated to be a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The North American Industrial Classification System code is 233310 and the annual si ze standard is $28.5 million. Estimated magnitude of work is between $5M - 10M. Issue date for solicitation will be on or about June 25, 2003. This project is unrestricted. The solicitation will be available on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and provided free o f charge. IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER FIRM. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed hard copy format. Registration for plans and specifications SHOULD BE MADE via our Internet Homep age: https://ebs.swl.usace.army.mil this will ensure each plan holder receives notification of amendment to the solicitation as they are issued.
