- Description
- This is a Sources Sought Notice to determine the availability of potential small businesses (e.g., veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business) that can provide continued operation of the Eldercare Locator and continued operation of the National Aging Information and Referral Support Center, on behalf of the US Department of Health and Human Services, Administration on Aging (AoA). The Eldercare Locator is a telephone information and referral service and website to assist older persons and their caregivers locate state and local aging resources. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 561422. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR BID (IFB), REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) OR REQUEST FOR APPLICATION (RFA) AND IN NO WAY OBLIGATES THE GOVERNMENT TO AWARD A CONTRACT. The minimum contractor requirements are: (1) Experience operating a telephone call center for the purpose of providing human service information and referral; (2) familiarity with aging programs and services and have experience providing information and referrals to senior citizens; (3) experience operating a call center that handles at least 130,000 calls per year and is able to gear up in times of heavy call volume; (4) experience responding to written and e-mailed requests for information and services; (5) ability to provide computer software (including MS Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer) and hardware (IBM-compatible personal computers) compatible with those used in AoA and install/use an e-mail system compatible with MS Outlook; (6) able to operate a resource center that provides training, technical assistance, and guidance to aging information and referral programs throughout the United States; (7) familiarity with the AoA?s mission and the Older Americans Act aging services network; (8) able to develop training materials, such as resource guides and manuals, to assist aging programs develop, expand and strengthen their information and referral programs. CAPABILITY STATEMENTS MUST ADDRESS THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OULTINED ABOVE. Capability statements must also include the following information: company name, address, point of contact, phone/fax/e-mail, and business size and status (e.g., small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business). Responses are requested not later than May 6, 2003.
