- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a Firm Fixed Price service contract requirement for the assessment of the economic role of the NIST Advanced Technology Program (ATP's) funding of high-risk, enabling technologies to enhance understanding of the process of technological change and economic growth. The Economic Assessment Office (EAO) has identified an important policy topic to be the relative roles of venture capital and other private and government sources of financing in supporting emerging technologies. In particular, EAO seeks to produce a research study report addressing the role of Corporate Venture Capital in supporting innovation and new technologies. The standard classification NAICS code is 541611. A detailed Performance Work Statement (PWS) will be available in the solicitation package. The period of performance will be twenty four (24) months from the date of contract award. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments and all questions and answers relating to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizops.gov. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about, May 19, 2003 and will only be available on FEDBIZOPS at the above website. Potential offers are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. There is no written solicitation document available, telephone requests will not be honored and no bidder lists will be maintained.
