Description
The Broadcasting Board of Governors, International Broadcasting Bureau (BBG/IBB), Office of Contracts (M/CON), has a requirement to provide materials and services to install OSHA compliant tower ladders and safety climbing devices at Sites A and B at its Greenville Transmitting Station located in North Carolina. The Contractor shall be required to provide all necessary labor, supervision, machinery, equipment, materials, and all other miscellaneous items required and design and install face mounted ladders and flexible cable ladder safety systems on steel rhombic and curtain antenna towers on sites A and B at the Antenna Towers. The total estimated construction price range to accomplish the above work is between $100,000 and $250.000. The proposed period of performance of this work requires completion within six (6) months from issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed (NTP). The contractor shall be responsible for visiting the Greenville, North Carolina Transmitting Station to verify local conditions. The Contractor's failure to conduct a site visit shall not be the basis for a later claim. Offerors shall submit: (a) Personnel Health and Safety Plan, and (b) Fall Protection Plan in its technical proposal. The BBG intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation for this negotiated firm-fixed-price procurement in June 2003, with a proposal response date of 30 days after release of the solicitation package. Offerors interested in receiving a copy of the forthcoming RFP must respond in writing to the Contract Specialist, Mr. Wayne Greene via facsimile at (202) 260-0855, or E-mail at wgreene@IBB.gov, or via letter to the above-listed address. Please reference Solicitation No. BBGCON3603S5360 on all correspondence regarding this notice. All written requests for copies of the RFP must include your company name, mailing address, telephone number, and facsimile number. No telephone requests for this RFP will be honored. All responsible sources may submit a proposal in response to the forthcoming solicitation document, and all proposals will be considered by the Agency. This FBO notice is not a RFP, IFB, or RFQ.
