- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled ELECTRON BACK-SCATTERED DIFFRACTION (EBSD) HARDWARE SYSTEM, 1-209-RCE.1456 which was posted on April 25, 2003. You are notified that the following changes are made: The time proposals are due is 4:30 pm EDT. The due date for responses is not extended. The following responses are provided for questions recieved regarding this solicitation: Questions and Responses 1-209-RCE.1456 1) The software on the first and hardware on the second are directly related and can be packaged together for better pricing and performance. How should we bid on these to ensure that the government obtains a compatible system with the best performance and price? Response: Submit a separate quote for each requirement. The government will award based on ?Best Value? as stated in the solicitations. 2) In general, can one provide alternative bids and should we identify them as such in the RFQ field Quoter Name, for example? Response: Yes 3) At what time does a bid close on the due date? Response: 4:30 pm EDT 4) Are the bid results made public after the award? Response: Yes, at the same website where the synopsis was posted. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/LaRC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=CL&pin=23 Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation and any amendments.
