- Description
- This is a Sole Source procurement to Weidlinger Associates, Inc. (WAI), 375 Hudson Street, 12th Floor, New York, NY 10014-3656 to provide engineering services to: (1) perform EPSA computer model calculation on three (3) specified composite submarine structures; (2) evaluate the Silent Boundary/Fluid Island Approach comparison with the Doubly Asymptotic Approximation approach for Fluid Structures Interaction (FSI) for non-traditional hull forms; (3) provide enhancements/modification to the WAMODCHK finite element model-checking mode; and (4) Underwater Explosions (UNDEX) and shock phenomenon to initiate the development of simple design tools for spectral shock qualification comparisons. The total period of performance is six (6) months. This will be a cost plus fixed fee type contract. This procurement to WAI is being procured under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) because they hold the copyrights to the computer modeling codes to be used under this contract. See Note 22.
