- Description
- The majority of the work is electrical. The existing 12.47 KV electrical distribution system at Bogue Field consists of approximately 20,000 feet of three phase overhead distribution configured into two radial circuits with two separate delivery points from the local EMC. This project will convert the system to have only one delivery point and includes the demolition of approximately 7,000 feet of overhead line, the construction of approximately 4,000 feet of new overhead 3 phase line, 700 feet of three phase underground line and 900 feet of single phase underground line. The remaining copper primary overhead conductors on the system will be replaced with AAAC conductors. COntractors will be required to possess a valid North Carolina General Contractor License and be certified as a Public Utilities Contractor in the Electrical - Ahead of Point of Delivery sub classification. Estimated Cost Range: Between $100,000 and $250,000. NAISC Code: 238210. Size Standard: $12M. Approximate release date of solicitation is 13 May 2003.
