- NA The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) intends to solicit and award a sole-source contract to Bosch Aerospace, Inc. for development, analysis, testing, integration, training, transition and maintenance of various aerial platforms and associated sensor technology prototypes for the Enhanced Area Air Defense System (EAADS). Based on its unique knowledge and patented technologies in the area of aerial platform research and development, Bosch Aerospace has been determined to be the only source that possesses the necessary expertise and resources to meet near term EAADS technology demonstration requirements. The aerial platform prototypes developed under this effort shall be utilized with various payloads, to include IR and RF sensors and communicat ions devices. The proponent for this requirement is the AMCOM Strategic Customer Initiatives Office (SCIO). It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on/about 30 May 2003 and the resulting contract will be cost-plus-fixed-fee with a 1-year b asic effort and four consecutive 1-year options.
