- Description
- The US Army TACOM-ARDEC is requiring experimental research in directionally oriented ceramic composites (D.O.C.C). The proposed contract action is a follow-on effort. Therefore, the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with General Atomics, San Diego, California due to their unique capability in extremely high temperature processing of ceramic eutectics (2300 degrees centigrade). This contract action is based on the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. See Note 22.
