Description
NA The Army requires a firm fixed price construction contract to REPLACE V.F.D. AT BUILDING 1412, FORT STEWART, GEORGIA. Work shall consist of but not be limited to the following: (1) Secure, tag and lock out 2.4-K.V. power to Robicon P-21 power source; (2 ) Remove old V.F.D. Robicon unit to include all conduit and wiring connections. Contractor shall be responsible for disposal of all equipment removed and shall police the area of all of his debra and equipment on completion of work; (3) Install, anchor, a nd otherwise support the new V.F.D. Robicon cabinet in place of the old unit; (4) Reconnect all conduit and wiring to the new V.F.D. and make all necessary connections. This includes power, motor leads, and control wiring. Reuse existing conduit and wrin g where possible. (5) Install new pressure sensing device. The pressure set point is to be determined by the energy plant supervisor. (6) Install conduit and wiring to connect the pressure sensor to the V.F.D. and make connections. (7) The contracto r shall be on site for start up and shall work directly with the factory representative. The contractor shall schedule start up with the Inspections Branch at DPW. (8) The Government will furnish the V.F.D., and a factory representative on site for start up and training not to exceed two days. (9) The contractor shall furnish a new pressure sensing device to replace the existing one. The new device shall control the 4-20 Milliamp output from the V.F.D.. The new pressure sensor shall be suitable for th e application and compatible with the Ribicon V.F.D. SIC Code is 1731, NAICS code is 238210 and the size standard $12,000,000.00. Performance time is 30 calendar days. Project is UNRESTRICTED. All responsible businesses may submit a proposal that will be considered. Magnitude is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The anticipated issued date for this solicitation 13 May 2003. Paper copies of this project will not be available.
