- PRESOLICITATION OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION FOR MILITARY FAMILY HOUSING MAINTENANCE FIRM FIXED PRICE CONTRACT, ALTUS AFB, OK A military family housing maintenance, firm fixed price contract will be awarded from the solicitation resulting from this presolicitation notice. The performance period will consist of one (1), Twelve (12) month Basic period with the government?s right to exercise either a three (3) month or six (6) month option period for a total duration that will not exceed thirty-six (36) months. The scope of work includes the maintenance service of approximately 966 Military Family Housing (MFH) units. This contract is to provide all labor, tools, equipment, transportation, management and supervision to maintain MFH. Services to be provided include; general maintenance and repair of the interior/exterior of all MFH units; change of occupancy maintenance; installed equipment maintenance(HVAC); the moving, handling, repair, and replacement of household appliances; the operation and management of the self-help store for MFH residents; routine and emergency calls; equipment and supply inventory; maintenance of facility files; and other related services as required by the solicitation. THE NAICS CODE FOR THIS ACQUISITION IS 561212. The solicitation will be issued as a competitive acquisition restricted to small businesses holding current 8(a) certifications with the Small Business Administration. The magnitude of this project is between $900,000 and $2,700,000. The solicitation package will be issued in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be made available for downloading via the Internet Electronic Posting Site, website address www.eps.gov on approximately 02 JUNE 2003 with a closing date tentatively scheduled for 02 JULY 2003. All responsible sources meeting the criteria stated herein may submit a proposal. The Government shall consider all such proposals. SOLICITATION PACKAGES WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM THOSE 8(a) CONTRACTORS. PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTORS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE (DOD) CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) DATABASE PRIOR TO AWARD OF THIS, OR ANY GOVERNMENT CONTRACT. THE WEBSITE FOR REGISTRATION IS LOCATED AT WWW.EPS.GOV . OFFERORS ARE FURTHER ADVISED THAT FAILURE TO REGISTER IN THE DOD CCR DATABASE WILL RENDER YOUR FIRM INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. REGISTRATION REQUIRES APPLICANTS TO HAVE A DUNS NUMBER. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT ALL PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS REGISTER IMMEDIATELY TO ENSURE ELIGIBILITY FOR AWARD.
