Description

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis a purchase order to The National Opinion Research Center , University of Chicago, IL, 1155 East 60th Street, Chicago, IL 60637 . The proposed contractor is the only known responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The acquisition will be for a copy or report of the analysis of Data and Production of The General Social Survey (GSS) which examined trends in risky sexual behavior. The Contractor will conduct a descriptive and trend analysis for each question in the GSS related to HIV infection risk factors for the 1998-2002 General Social Survey. Anticipated award date is May 12, 2003. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
