- Description
- The Colville National Forest requires Tree Thinning services on approximately 569 acres on the Republic Ranger District. Location of the work is in the Ferry County Washington, located in the NE portion of Washington State. This project requires the furnishing of all tools, equipment, materials, supplies (except those designated as Government-Furnished), labor, supervision, workman?s compensation, unemployment insurance, transportation, and incidentals to perform all work necessary to accomplish the tree thinning and some piling and slashing. The resultant contract will be an indefinite quantity contract. The solicitation has approximately 343 acres within 10 units will be for silvicultural purposes, 226 acres within 8 units for reduce fuels in the rural interface, and 176 acres within 7 units for pilling and slash. It is estimated the first task order will be for approximately 159 acres. The remaining task orders will be issued when funding becomes available. Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act registration and a Washington State Farm/Forest Labor License are required. This project will be advertised as a written quotation and will be solicited under the Simplified Acquisition Procurement (SAP) rules. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about April 30, 2003. Estimated start work date is on or about June 1, 2003, with work being completed within 60 calendar days from the notice to proceed for the first task order. Quotes are estimated to be due May 21, 2003. The proposed project listed here is a 100 percent small business set-aside. NAICS code is 115310, size standard $6.0 million.
