- Description
- Powell Water Distribution System Replacement. Install a new 38-connection drinking water distribution system at Powell Ranger Station. Work to consist of, but not limited to, replacing current water reservoir hatches and valves, installing 1,250 feet of 6 inch HDPE water line and electrical conduits, placing a new meter vault and valve access building, installing approximately 5,420 feet of 6 inch PVC water main and 1,300 feet of 1 inch HDPE service line along with all associated appurtenances and installing 9 fire hydrants, 2 yard hydrants, and a fire engine fill assembly. Trenching will require removing and replacing existing roadway surfacing and will encounter existing sanitary sewer lines, power cables, and fiber optic phone lines. Contractor will be required to maintain existing water service to occurpied housing and work buildings during construction with a maximum 8-hr service break with 48 hours notice given.
