- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested,a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N68836-03-T-0163 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This procurement is set aside for small business. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-45 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-19. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332911 and the business size standard is 500 employees. Fleet Contracting Center, Mayport Fl intends to purchase on a full and open competitive basis to Provide and install approximately threehundredfortynine linear feet by three quarter inches thick and three inches high,of mahogany baseboards. Twohundredninetytwo linear feet by three quarter inches thick and six inches high, of mahogany chair rail. Lengths will vary from approximately one foot to twelve feet.The Mahogany shall be sanded smooth,clear coat primed and sealed with a glossy finish. Performance location is on board a Navy ship and the contractor shall abut t-joints, pipes and wire stanchions, battle lanterns and wire racks. The mahogany shall be flush against these pieces leaving no gaps or ragged edges. The mahogany shall be secured by counter sinking galvanized screws onto metal bulkheads and screw heads shall be capped. The contractor shall be possess expertise in angle cuts,Corners shall Be angle cut and butted to ensure smooth continuous lines.
