- Description
- This synopsis is being issued to announce the intended procurement of a Sole Source requirement in response to an unsolicited proposal to support the research, engineering, and development of improved capabilities for the 3R Radar Absorbing Tiles used on surface ships in support of the Passive Countermeasures Systems (PCMS) to RBX Industries, Inc., 5221 Valley Park Dr., Roanoke, VA 24019-3074. RBX owns the proprietary rights to their manufacturing process of the Type 3R Tiles. The proposed acquisition is for issuance of a Cost Reimbursement Definite Delivery Definite Quantity contract. This requirement is for a one-year period, with an estimated start date of 05 May 2003. See Numbered Note 22.
