Description
NA Small Emplacement Excavator (SEE) ENGINE Market Survey Objective: It is our understanding that new Daimler-Benz model OM352, 6 cylinder, 110 HP engines used in the SEE are no longer available. The purpose of this survey is to find sources of supply for either re-manufactured engines, or a direct replacement engine for the for the Daimler-Benz model OM352 engine. The purchase quantity or re-manufacturing quantity will be a range of 200-500 each. Please answer the following questions listed below as complete as possible: 1. Do you have a proven solution to replace the existing model OM352 engine? If you do, please provide make and model of replacement engine. 2. Please provide a brief synopsis of how this engine will fit in the SEE vehicle. 3. Will an adapter kit be required to install the engine in the SEE? If so what will be required in the kit? 4. If the re-manufacturing of engine cores is your solution to you have a process in place, and can the United States Government use this process. 5. Can you provide System Technical Support (STS) for the engine replacement process? (i.e., engineering support, testing)? 6. Can you provide System Software Technical Support (SSTS) for the engine replacement process? (i.e., Technical Manual changes, provisioning)? 7. Is your proposed engine EPA compliant? 8. Are you currently doing business with TACOM? 9. Do you have a Defense Logistic Agency (DLA) corporate contract? If so please provide contract number. 10. Re-manufactured engines must meet OEM standard and/or be repaired to a like new condition. If you propose a re-manufactured engine, what standard will you repair them to? 11. How long will the engine be warranted for? 12. When will the engine be available for purchase? 13. What is the estimated price per engine?
