- Description
- The purpose of this project includes construction or reconstruction of all or portions of NFSR 203000, NFSR 2030700, and NFSR 2030720. All new construction entails mobilization, survey, design, construction staking, clearing, grubbing and excavation; pit development, quality control and quantity measurement, certification for quality and quantity; furnish, haul and place shot rock borrow excavation, culvert installation, transport and install government furnished prefabricated modular bridges, and seeding and fertilizing. Reconstruction includes mobilization, brushing, reconditioning of roadway, furnish, haul, and place rock borrow excavation on traveled way including turnouts, culvert installations. The project consists of 12.88 km of reconstruction and 2.53 km of new construction. No bridges or major culverts will be needed. All work in fish streams will be subject to fish timing windows. The project area is located on Prince of Wales Island, south of the Thorne Bay Highway and Kassan Road, Southeast Alaska. Mad Rush is accessible via ferry to POW Island and then by road. The estimated price range for this acquisition is $250,00-$500,000. The performance period is two years. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about April 18, 2003 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation R10-05-03-23. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified via email of any changes to the project. To register, select "Register to Receive Notification" and follow the steps. Follow the same procedure for EACH project. PLAN HOLDERS LISTS: The Interested Vendors List (IVL) has replaced the plan Holders Lists that was previously available with solicitation packages. Access the IVL for all projects through the FedBizOpps website. To register as an interested vendor, select "Register as an Interested Vendor" and follow the steps. Follow this procedure for EACH project of interest. Use the Register as Interested Vendor option to add your company name to the IVL and then view or print the IVL by selecting "View List of Interested Vendors" for each project.
