- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The work includes providing labor, tools, equipment and materials for demolition of the existing metal frame and block boat house and concrete pile cap and piles support; construction of a new pre-fabricated metal frame boat house with an approximate area of 3,200 square feet and a height of 35 feet with new concrete pile cap and pile supports. The new boathouse will have an interior mezzanine area of approximately 350 square feet and will be provided with electrical, communications and compressed air systems. Also included in this project will be miscellaneous repairs to the existing concrete bulkhead located adjacent to the boat house. The location for this work is at U. S. Coast Guard Station Port Aransas, Texas. This action is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Interested HUBZone small business concerns should indicate their interest to the Contract Specialist, in writing, as early as possible but to be not later than 15 calendar days of this notice. As a minimum, the following information is required: (a) copy of the certificate issued by the SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone concern, (b) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor, (c) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contacts and telephone numbers and (d) provide evidence of bonding capability to the maximum magnitude of the project, to include both single and aggregate totals. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone concerns. Failure to submit all information requested will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested HUBZone concern. If adequate interest is not received from HUBZone concerns by close of business 15 calendar days from the date of this notice, this solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore, large and small business concerns, as well as HUBZone concerns can bid on this project. THIS PACKAGE WHEN READY WILL BE AVAILABEL IN ITS ENTIRETY AT HTTP://WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV UNDER THE SOLICITATION NUMBER. All amendments and pertinent information will be available at this website. To receive immediate notification of all changes posted electronically, vendors should click on "Register to Receive Notification". All vendors interested in teaming or subcontracting for this solicitation should click on "Register as Interested Vendor". In order to view a "Bidder?s List", interested parties should click on "View List of Interested Vendors". No telephone or written requests shall be accepted. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 with a three-year average annual receipts of $28.5 million. Bid quarantee, payment and performance bonds are required. Performance time is one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days. It is anticipated that the solicitation package will be available in May 2003. *****
