Description
The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking offers for alterations and repair services at the SSA Headquarters, Baltimore City and Baltimore County, MD. This requirement includes complete construction services to accomplish the following types of work: acoustical, plastering, carpentering, masonry, electrical, plumbing and painting. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract for a minimum dollar amount of $200,000 and a maximum dollar amount of $3 million per year for a base year and four option years, if exercised. This acquisition has been determined to be a 100 percent Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 233320. The small business size standard is $28.5 million. It is anticipated that the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about December 2, 2002 with proposals due 30 calendar days thereafter. This acquisition shall be issued as Request for Proposal SSA-RFP-03-0513. All responsible small business sources may submit an offer that will be considered. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09. The solicitation and all related documents for this procurement will be made available to interested parties through electronic media for downloading via the internet at the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available. There will be a drawing of a representative sample office improvement that will be made available to all upon a written request. The GSA Form 176 mentioned in the solicitation is available via the internet at www.gsa.gov. The FD 258, Applicant Fingerprint Card will be made available upon request. Potential offerors will be responsible for monitoring the internet site for release of solicitation, amendments (if any), and responses to any questions in accordance with provisions. See Note 1.
