Description
The Social Security Administration (SSA) plans to issue a Request For Quotation (RFQ) for contractor services to provide mainenance and support services for Government-owned multimedia centers at SSA offices throughout the United States including it's territorial possessions. This requirement will be wholly set aside as a competitive 8(a) Commercial Item in accordance with FAR Parts 12, 15 and 19. SSA anticipates awarding a firm fixed price contract with a period of performance being a base year with option for four additional one year periods. The applicable NAICS Code is 517410 with a Size Standard of $12.50 million. SSA's Multimedia Centers have teleconferencing capability, which include video teleconferencing (VTC) systems, video network management devices and associated ancillary hardware and software components. The VTC systems include but are not limited to fully integrated self-contained video unit hardware, software, roll-about cart, monitor network connection devices and ancillary equipment components. The hardware and software that is currently in use is Enterprise by TargetVision. SSA's visual communications capability consist mainly of Polycom, RadVision, and Madge customer premises equipment (CPE) products. The contractor will be required to maintain system-compatible Government owned equipment, obtain OEM software support agreements and keep all existing sytem components in good operating condition. At the option of the Government, the contractor may also be required to provide additional equipment and software due to expansion. The equipment/software expansion may include: software licenses, GateKeeper Application Software, Video Teleconferencing Systems, ancillary equipment and monitors, training, relocation services etc. Any qualified 8(a) firm which believes it has the relevant experience, personnel, facilities, systems, etc., to perform the described tasks should notify the Contracting Officer by email or fax of their interest in this requirement. The solicitation, when issued will be available on the FEDBIZOPPS WEB Site (www2.eps.gov) in about two weeks.
