Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on a full and open competition basis ten (10) Micro Earthquake (MEQ) monitoring equipment holes using FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The holes will be drilled to a depth of three hundred thirty (330) feet. Four of the drill sites are located on Naval Air Station Fallon, property that is approximately seven (7) miles southeast of Fallon, NV. The other six (6) drill sites are located on Bureau of Reclamation property. The Navy's Geothermal Program Office will use data from these holes. Proposals are being requested on a fixed price basis to include all mobilization and demobilization, equipment, supplies and material, and labor and supervision to complete the holes. The solicitation will include a provision to cover contingencies such as, but not limited to, lost circulation, standby time due to Government delays, and acts of God. This project is estimated to take 90 days to complete, and the estimated starting date is September 2003. A complete Statement of Work will be provided and released with the Request for Proposal (RFP). The RFP will be released on or about 12 May 2003 and close thirty (30) days thereafter.
