- Pre-Solicitation Notice: The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue Request for Quotation No. 03SQ170882 on a Full and Open Unrestricted Competitive basis. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 811310, $5.0M size standard. The solicitation is being restricted to those companies in the Pacific Northwest Region. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation is to be extended to vendors wishing to quote on furnishing all parts, labor, and equipment to recondition the Bureau of Reclamation's G-1 Exciter. The complete exciter assembly consists of: The Main Exciter Armature rated at 400kW, 250 VDC, 1600 amp DC, Westinghouse Mfg. The main exciter is approximately 72 inches long by 50 inches in diameter; Field Windings for Main Exciter; Pilot Exciter Armature is 10kW, 250 VDC, 40 amp DC, Westinghouse Mfg, the size of the pilot exciter is approximately 30 inches long by 25 inches in diameter; the Exciter Synchronous Drive Motor Armature Winding (stationary portion), 600 hp, 6600 volts, 42 amps, 100 percent P.F., 3 phase, 60 cycles, 900 rpm, exc amps 17.2, exc volts 250, percent load 100, hours 24, degree C temp rise 40, Serial No. 2S16P122, the Synchronous Drive Motor's size is approximately 48 inches long by 66 inches in diameter; Exciter Drive Motor Field Winding (rotating portion). The main exciter and pilot exciter armature windings are physically located on the same shaft. The complete assembly weighs approximately 4 tons.
