Description

The Bureau of Land Management has a requirement to secure services for herbicide application in Elko County, Nevada. Sites for the application of the Contractor-furnished herbicides; Tordon 22K, Escort, Transline, Rodeo, and Arsenal are located 10 miles southwest of Elko, NV along the South Fork of the Humboldt River and 4 miles north of Carlin, NV in the area known as Dry Gulch. The Contractor shall hold a current Nevada Commercial Applicator license. The Government will inspect the Applicator License(s) before work on this contract. The schedule provides for one application of the herbicide with optional schedules for second and third applications, as required. The first application shall be done in June 2003. Performance time for each application is estimated to be 7 calendar days from the date of notice to proceed, depending on the weather, and location. Applications will be by ground equipment. No aerial application will be made. Multiple contracts may be awarded. This is 100 percent set-aside for small business. SIC and NAICS Codes are 0782/561730. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. Anticipated issue date of solicitation is on or about April 25, 2003. See Note 1.
