- NA Design and construct a two-story security forces operations building to include concrete slab-on-grade, concrete on metal deck, steel structure, non-loadbearing steel stud/brick veneer exterior walls, shingle roofing, suspended tile and gypsum board ceilin gs, cmu and gypsum board partitions, concrete vaults, lockers, elevator, operable partition, insulating glass units w/ laminated glass, casework, interior and exterior lighting, hvac and plumbing systems, communications, electrical work, generator, automat ic sprinklers, fire protection, site work, bituminous paving, and utilities. The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be evaluated on the following criteria, listed in descending order of importance: 1) Past performance; 2) Past experience; 3) Technical Ap proach and 4) Price, which is equal to all other evaluation factors combined. The project includes four (4) options, as follows: 1) Alternate Structural Wall System; 2) Additional 450 sf of floor area in General Storage; 3) Exterior covered guard mount, 725 sf actual area and 4) Landscaping in addition to required grass sod and seed. This project is unrestricted. The estimated cost range is $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. The NAICS is 236220. Solicitation DACA27-03-R-0012 will be issued approximately 05 May 2003, with proposals due on or about 04 June 2003 at 4:30 p.m. (local time). The plans and specifications will be available on CD ROM and the Internet. Project files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. The drawings files are in CAL format and can be viewed, navigated or printed using Source View Reader. Both readers are contained in the solicitation package. System requirements are: 486-based personal computer, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater, 8 MB application RAM, 4 MB hard disk space and compact disk drive. Interested offerors must register through the Louisville District homepage at http://ebs.lrl.usace.army.mil. This announcement serves as the advance notice for this project.
