- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Request for Quotes (RFQ) are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation documents, incorporated provisions, and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13. This procurement is unrestricted. The NAICS is 334111 with business size standard 1000 employees. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. The South Texas Veterans Health Care System, Audie L. Murphy Division, 7400 Merton Minter Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78229 has a requirement to purchase one (1) Spectramax Gemini XS Micro plate Reader With Softmax PRO Software, part number 0200-3940. Manufacturer is MOLECULAR DEVICES. Background as follows: This medical research equipment contains specific software to control the device and perform data analyses. This device measures fluorescent signals from mammalian cells loaded with special fluorescent probes for the purpose of quantifying intracellular calcium levels, intracellular oxidative radicals, and nucleic acid content. This software will be installed on an existing microcomputer. Quotations shall include all warranty information, technical data, etc. Quotations shall be submitted F.O.B. destination. All quotations are to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offer Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with quotation. (A copy of this provision may be requested by facsimile to (210) 617-5255, Attn: BOBBY THORNTON).
