- Description
- The purpose of this project is to synthesize current scientific findings from youth risk behavior intervention programs and program evaluations. Synthesis involves both cataloging and analyzing scientific literature and convening expert panels to reach consensus. The project is divided into two tasks paralleling the aspects of synthesis described above. Task A involves updating, maintaining, and expanding the Prevention Evaluation Research Registry for Youth. Task B involves planning, implementing, and documenting expert panel meetings. At the completion of this project, CDC expects to possess a working Prevention Evaluation Research Registry for Youth (PERRY) in the areas of: sexual behavior, violence, unintentional injuries, tobacco use, nutrition, physical activity, and two other topic areas (e.g., alcohol and other drug use, asthma, or food safety). The research registry will contain information on effective interventions that could be used in or by schools or communities to reduce adolescent health risks, and background information needed to implement such interventions. Award of a Time and Materials or a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order, using acquisition for commercial items/services procedures, is contemplated. The performance period shall be 12 months from date of award. The order will also include four option periods of 12 months each to be exercised after satisfactory completion of the current base period and/or option period. The total base and option periods will not exceed 60 months. CDC will consider all responsible sources responding to the RFQ. All questions/concerns about the RFTQ shall be submitted via e-mail to BBiltz@cdc.gov. The tentative issue date is May 15, 2003. The complete solicitation package will be available and posted at this site for downloading when issued. No hard copy of the solicitation package will be mailed. The associated NAICS code is 541720 and the small business size standard is $6 million.
