Description

Time charter of a U.S. flag vessel for personnel transfer of 35-40 midshipmen from Little Creek Amphibious Base, Little Creek, VA to Buoy “C” at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, USA. Vessel is required for personnel transfer of 35-40 midshipmen from Little Creek Amphibious Base to Buoy "C" at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. 35-40 personnel plus 1 Officer and 1-2 Chiefs will embark; vessel will transit approximately 12 NM to Buoy "C" (maximum personnel requirement is 50). Vessel will come alongside the unit, and pass across brow. Brow needs to be stable, preferably hydraulically operated (vice hand-tended), and have handrails on both sides. Vessel needs to be able to mate up against an SSN/SSBN hull, and brow needs to mate up to those hulls as well. 35-40 personnel will board the unit, and 35-40 personnel will disembark the unit. The vessel will then transit back to Little Creek, disembark those personnel and pickup up 35-40 more. Those 35-40 will then be taken out to Buoy "C" for an identical personnel transfer with another unit. These transfers are currently scheduled to occur twice daily, 3 days per week for seven weeks (02 June to 18 July). The vessel needs to be available 7 days per week in case of scheduling changes.
