Wolfe Ave., Bldg. 2800, Edwards AFB, CA 93524 SUBJECT: MSC Softaware Maintenance REF NO.: F2LMCA30730200 DUE: April 24, 2003 POC Chantel Pee, 661-275-9628 (fax) DESC: The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to solicit and award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to MSC Software of Santa Ana, California, for MSC Nastran Standard, Aeroelaasticity I and II, Patran, IGES Access, Preference, and MSC FlightLoads and Dynamics. This acquisition is unrestricted. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 7372. The NAICS code is 511210. The following items will be procured: One year maintenance on the items listed below. This maintenance includes phone support, software enhancement, and upgrades. Prorated to be coterminous with MSC.Nastran licensing period of 4/1/03 ? 3/31/04 Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government?s requirement. In addition, the response should include Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items in accordance to FAR 52.212-3. If the offeror does not have a copy of this provision, go to www.arnet.gov to get a copy or contact the contract specialist by email to receive a copy. Any responses received without 52.212-3 will be considered non-compliant. Further, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Anticipated Award date is April 25, 2003. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, April 24, 2003. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 7 days of the publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Facsimile responses are acceptable and must be received on or before the closing date. Telephone requests to be placed on a mailing list will not be honored.
