Description
The 42d Contracting Squadron at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, intends to award a contract pursuant to FAR 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price requirements contract with one (1) basic year plus four (4) option periods. The contractor will supply all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services and materials for the preparation of personal property of military members and civilian employees for movement or drayage and related services. The areas of performance will consist of Montgomery, Elmore, Autaga, and Lowndes Counties in Alabama(Area 1), Bullock, Butler, Chilton, Coosa, Crenshaw, Dallas, Macon, Perry, Tallapoosa, and Wilcox Counties in Alabama (Area II).. This is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry lassification System Code is 48991 The Standard Industrial Classification is 4783. The size standard is annual income less than $18.5 million. This is a competitive best value source selection in which competing offerors? past and present performance history will be evaluated on a basis approximately equal to cost or price considerations. By submission of its? offer in accordance with the instructions provided in this RFP, the offeror accedes to the terms of this model contract and all such offers shall be treated equally except for their prices and performance records. The government reserves the right to evaluate and give evaluation credit for proposed features that exceed either the stated thresholds or objectives. The lowest price may not necessarily receive the award. In addition, to be eligible for award offerors are required to meeting the following qualifications: (1) shall be licensed by the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) to move household and personal goods; and (2) be certified by appropriate state regulatory body for intrastate transportation of household and personal goods. The solicitation package will be issued on or about 04 Apr 03, on Federal Business Opportunities website at www.eps.gov. No paper copies will be issued.
