- Description
- The VA National Acquisition Center will issue Solicitation RFP-797-NC-03-0020, for the Dept. of Veterans Affairs=92 requirements for Intravenous Solutions & Sets. We intend to solicit for the equivalent IV Solutions & Sets that we currently have on National Contract. For a list of the items currently on contract and the prices, go to http://www.vapbm.org/pbm/primevendor.htm., then click on National Contract prices (in blue at the bottom of the page). Baxter currently has the contract =96 Contract #V797P-5349X =96 which will expire on 1/20/04. To be considered for an award, the Contractor is required to propose a price for all products on the Solicitation, as award will be made based on the aggregate offered prices of all the items. It is anticipated that this procurement will require a technical evaluation with price becoming more important as the technical factors become more equal. Technical factors will evaluate bar coding capabilities =96 current and future. The bar coding VA requires in 2004, is that the items contain NDC numbers and VA desires lot numbers and expiration dates. The resulting awardee of this procurement, must establish a =93Pass Through=94 program with the VA Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor. This type of program allows the customers to enter their order into the Prime Vendor system, with delivery direct from the awardee. The contract period will be for a period of one year (1/21/04 =96 1/20/05), plus four one-year options. The Solicitation will be available for downloading on or about 5/12/03, at the VA Office of Acquisition and Materiel Management's internet webb site at http://www.va.gov/oa&mm/busopp/sols.htm.
