Description

The U.S. Department of State, Office of Acquisition Management, intends to award a purchase order to Netscan Technology Corporation, 803 West Broad Street, Suite 110, Falls Church, Va. 22046, in accordance with FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items, to renew the current License and Maintenance Agreement for one year. Netscan has completed the initial installation and holds the current maintenance agreement. As the holder of the maintenance agreement, only Netscan can initiate/modify the upgrade and coverage for new units. Maintenance of the system by a third party will impose unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements as well as give cause to termination of the existing maintenance agreement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The U.S. Government intends to solicit only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.
