Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a contract for the Global Monitoring for Variant Strains of HIV project in Yaounde, Cameroon. This research effort is designed to further develop diagnostics for surveillance of HIV strains and similar emerging retrovisuses to ensure protection of the blood supply. The period of performance is sixty-months. It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded September 16, 2003 with performance to begin September 30, 2003. The scheduled solicitation issue date is approximately May 9, 2003. The solicitation will be posted at Fed Biz Ops website (http://www.eps.gov/) on or around May 9, 2003. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at the same website. Hardcopies of the solicitation and any amendments issued will not be mailed to the offerors.
