- Amendment 4 revises proposal due date to April 30, 2003 3:00PM and revises drawings and specifications. The United States Postal Service intends to award a Fixed Price Contract for renovation of the Bronx LaSalle P&DC Annex/IMTC. The scope of work for the project is the renovation of an existing 369,000 square foot building on a 7.9-acre parcel. Extensive renovation of major safety and health related upgrades which include; roof upgrades, structural upgrades, upgrades to exterior walls, HVAC, and fire protection systems, elevator rehabilitation, and new loading docks to make the building functional as the new Bronx P&DC Annex / IMTC. Renovations and construction must be planned in phases because there is and will be existing postal operations. Construction cost estimate for this project is in the $33,000,000 and $38,000,000 range. Total period of performance allowed for construction will be 730 calendar days from date of Notice to Proceed. A detailed scope of work for this project is included in the solicitation documents. This request for proposal is being issued only to prequalified contractors. The Postal Service will select the offeror that provides the Best Value to the Postal Service, taking into consideration technical and cost related factors. While the above listed three firms have already been furnished a Solicitation Package, others, i.e. subcontractors, material, equipment suppliers and other interested parties can purchase copies of the Solicitation. It is available on a Compact Disks (CDs contain complete solicitation with plans provided in plot file and drawing file format) for $25.00 or full set of plans and specs ?Hard Copy? with CDs for $200.00 may be purchased from Charrette Pro Graphics, Attention Maurice Briddell, 8000 Haute Court, Springfield, Virginia 22150.
