Description

This is to announce the out come of the A76 Streamlined competition for Two-Step Sealed Bid Process for ACCOUNTS PAYABLE support services (a commercial type service. STEP 1 - all proposals submitted were found acceptable, STEP 2 - Call for Bids, bids were due 14 April 2003, @ 1:00pm. With the bid opening on 14th of April 2003 at 1:15pm in the Contracting Officer's Office at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing located at the address below. The Contracting Officer has made a tentative decision based on the apparent low bid of $1,580,270.00 and a cost comparison with the in house cost estimate (IHCE)$1,725,186.00. Based on adding the contract administration costs, and the addition of the 10% conversion differential applied to the low apparent bidder's bid price and adjusted for Federal taxes, the adjusted total contract bid for the cost comparison was $1,928,696.64. This was $348,426.60 more than the Government's bid; based on this the accounts payable support services shall remain in house. This decision will stand until the Administrative Appeals process is over.
