Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound has a requirement for Commander Fleet Activities, Yokosuka, Japan for the following material: 700 brand name or equal BP101 Second Chance Superfeatherlite Level IIA body armor, color to be black or navy, 100% DuPont Kevlar 129, (various sizes: medium, large, extra large), NIJ certified threat level IIA, arial density of .078 lbs /sq ft, removable washable poly / cotton carrier, 6 point adjustable velcro straps, front and rear shirttails, made in USA; 700 brand name or equal BP183 Galls Soft Trauma Pak, 5/16D" and 4 ? oz. The procedures of FAR PART 12, Commercial Acquisition will be utilized. The Government foresees a firm fixed price supply type contract. Required Delivery Date is two weeks after contract award. Material will be shipped to Yokosuka FOB Origin via Tracy, CA. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link, www.neco.navy.mil. It is anticipated that the RFQ, will be issued on or about 21 April 2003, with offers due on or about 28 April 2003. All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP or other unzipping software is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. Interested parties may utilize www.fedbizopps.gov and request an E-mail notification by clicking on the FedBizOpps Vendor tab, then Acquisition Notification service, then register to receive notification by solicitation number. By registering with this service, you should receive notification as to when the solicitation has been uploaded to the NECO website. PLEASE NOTE: FISC PUGET SOUND DOES NOT GUARANTEE THIS NOTICE. OFFERORS ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR DOWNLOADING THEIR OWN COPY OF THE SOLICITATION ON THE NECO WEBSITE. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to brian_r_begley@puget.fisc.navy.mil will be accepted only in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
