- NA Solicitation No. DACA45-03-B-0001, On or about 02 May 2003, this office will issue Invitation for Bids for the construction of RENOVATE BUILDING 100-101, PHASE III, at Iowa AAP, Iowa. Bids will be opened on or about 03 June 2003. THIS SOLICITATION IS REST RICTED TO HUB-ZONE CONTRACTOR PARTICIPATION. Contractors interested in inspecting the site of the proposed work should contact the Iowa AAP Project Office, Burlington Office, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Box 13, c/o Army Mail R oom, Middletown, IA 52638, Telephone: 319-753-7808. FAX 319-753-1370. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above, see Ordering below. The work will include the following: This phase includes demolition wor k of exterior vestibules, interior walls, carpeting, acoustical ceiling tile, floor tile, steam radiators, A/C window units, and bathrooms. New renovation construction will consist of bathrooms, interior metal stud walls/gypboard, painting, carpet, new HV AC system, mechanical rooms, electrical upgrades, fire protection sprinkler upgrades, new double pane windows and vinyl siding, in buildings 100-101. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 540 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. The plans and specifications are available on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. It has been determined that the number of Compact Disks be limited to one per firm. Plans and Specifications will not be provided in a printed hard copy format. Contractors may view and/or download this project from the Internet at the following Internet address: http://ebs-nwo.wes.army .mil/. Ordering of plans and specifications on CD-ROM shall be by registering on the Omaha District website: http://ebs-nwo.wes.army.mil/. If any of the information changes during the advertisement period, you must make changes through the Omaha District web address.
