- NA DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, parts, equipment and labor necessary to maintain and repair government owned appliances such as, but not limited to, washers, dryers, refrigerators, microwave ovens, ice machines, garbage dispos als, gas and electric ranges and range hoods at Fort Lewis Washington. The contractor shall furnish all paints, lubricants, and cleaning supplies to service and maintain the appliances. Service maintenance and repair tasks shall be in accordance with the p rocedures recommended by the respective appliance manufacturer. The contractor can develop an appliance pool to meet the appliance service specifications. The contractor shall also clean and maintain dryer vent systems in Troop Barracks buildings. A periodic maintenance schedule for cleaning of dryer vents shall be developed before the start of the contract and a copy submitted to the Government 10 days prio r to the performance period This Contract is to be awarded as multiple year, base plus 4 options. The initial Period of Performance is expected to be 01 August 2003 through 31 July 2004. This requirement will be solicited as an unrestricted RFQ, under NAICS Code 811412, size standard $6 Million. Telephonic requests for the solicitation resulting from this notice will not be accepted. All requests for the solicitation must be faxed to (253) 967-8137 or emailed to bensonc@lewis.army.mil, providing Dun & Bradstreet number, and CAGE Code. All faxed re quests must include an email address. The solicitation will be issued and available for download on the Fort Lewis Web site located at http://www.lewis.army.mil/doc on the issue date of the solicitation. The anticipated issue date for this solicitation is 02 May 2003.
