- Description
- This modification to Pre-Solicitation Notice No. 2003-Q-00834 is submitted to correct the use of the term "Environmental Impact Study" and provide clarification to the description in the announcement. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award on a sole source basis, a purchase order to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE.) Specifically, the contractor will provide the labor, materials, equipment, and facilities necessary to conduct a survey and hold a meeting of international experts from the United Nations, UNECE, member countries and other countries as appropriate, in Geneva, Switzerland. The proposed meeting will focus on radiation contamination problems, specifically related to scrap metal importation/exportation at ports of entry and border crossings around the world. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
