- Description
- The purpose of this contract is to provide all equipment and labor to replace damaged components of two modular bridges. One bridge is Rainier brand, 70' long x 16' wide and the other bridge is Hamilton brand, 70' long x 16' wide. The required repairs include removal and replacement of all running planks, all deck planks, deck beams, and curb pieces. Additional work includes raising all curbs, and disposal of all debris generated by project. Both bridges are stored in the Thorne Bay Sort Yard. The Government-furnished materials for this project are also located in the Thorne Bay Sort Yard. Thorne Bay is on Prince of Wales Island and is connected by road to the AML Barge, IFA ferry, and Alaska Marine Highway ferry terminals in Hollis. Boyer Barge Lines operates a facility in Thorne Bay, and an unimproved gravel barge landing is at the Sort Yard. Thorne Bay is also accessible by boat or floatplane. The estimated price range for this acquisition is $25,000 - $100,000. The performance period is 45 calendar days. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about April 30, 2003 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation KTN-03-33. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 21 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified via email of any changes to the project. To register, select "Register to Receive Notification" and follow the steps. Follow the same procedure for EACH project. PLAN HOLDERS LISTS: The Interested Vendors List (IVL) has replaced the plan Holders Lists that was previously available with solicitation packages. Access the IVL for all projects through the FedBizOpps website. To register as an interested vendor, select "Register as an Interested Vendor" and follow the steps. Follow this procedure for EACH project of interest. Use the Register as Interested Vendor option to add your company name to the IVL and then view or print the IVL by selecting "View List of Interested Vendors" for each project.
