- Description
- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, requires the necessary labor, materials, parts, equipment and supervision necessary to install a hard hose traveling gun irrigation system at the USDA, ARS, Sugarcane Research Unit?s Ardoyne Research Farm, 501 Bull Run Road, Schriever, Louisiana. The work includes but is not limited to: supply lines (mainline and sub-mainline) buried and run according to pattern supplied in solicitation with CL 200 PVC pipe, 8 inch for mainline and 6 inch for sub-mainlines; install 35 epoxy coated steel risers as indicated; install hard hose traveling gun equipped with booster pump, 650 feet of hose and gun cart that will straddle two 72 inch wide rows and has sufficient clearance to minimize damage to young sugarcane plants (gun should be equivalent in capacity to a Kifco AG-Rain Model T30A/660 or equal. The work will be completed in 60 days. An IFB will be issued on or about May 6, 2003. An estimated cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
