- The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Glynco, Ga. requests you to review the technical specifications and drawings of the subject project. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION TO BID OR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. You may provide comments and/or ask questions in writing only regarding the technical merit and constructability of the plans and specs. The draft technical specs and drawings will be available in CD ROM format only and will not be posted on the Fed Biz Opps site. The project includes the demolition and new construction work in two existing 3-story structures. Demolition includes interior partitions, flooring, ceilings, and HVAC systems and other associated utilities. Interior structure will be removed for new elevators. Exterior demolition includes steel handrails, concrete steps and walkways, and existing built-up roofing. New work includes interior CWB and CMU partitions, carpet and tile flooring, suspended acoustic and GWB ceiling systems, new plumbing, HVAC, electrical and communication systems. Also included are new holeless hydraulic elevators. The existing concrete roof decks will receive an insulated standing seam aluminum roof system over steel trusses with new aluminum fascias and soffits. Entries will receive new steel-framed roof canopies with the same roof system. New stucco work is required along with cleaning and patching of existing stucco and masonry. Existing windows will be repaired and caulked. Some windows will be relocated to new or existing masonry openings. Exterior work also includes new concrete steps, ramps and handrails, and concrete walkways, landscaping and irrigation systems. New parking lots will require asphalt paving and base, and an existing lot will require asphalt over-lay. Some underground utility piping is required. The second and third floors of Building 66 will remain occupied and will have no work except for the elevator work. Building 67 will be completely vacant during construction. Optional work may include the overlay of an existing parking lot at Bldg 66, a new parking lot and sidewalk at Bldg 67, and landscaping with associated irrigation at Bldg 67 and Bldg 68. The technical information and drawings for data and telephone line installation is not included in this draft review. This criteria is currently in design and will be completed prior to issuance of a formal solicitation. The estimated dollar range of this solicitation is between $1 million and $5 million.
